Dino Kobic (Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1998) played basketball as a child on a team in his hometown that no longer exists. It was when he went to Slovenia, aged 17, that his career really began. Last season, he was in the dynamic of the first team in the  Zlatorog Lasko, from the Slovenian 1st division. He has been international for Bosnia and Herzegovina in lower categories. -Has it been difficult to adapt to the club and the city?

“To be honest, in the first weeks it was difficult because I didn’t know the language and everything was new, but as the weeks went by, I got more comfortable and everything got easier.”

-How do you feel in the team, with your colleagues?

“Fantastic. This is a great experience for me, and for the rest of the teammates too, it’s clear. From the first day, the connection with everyone has been very good. We have a great atmosphere both inside and outside the track, and that’s what makes us special.”

-What are the differences between Spanish basketball and that of your country?

“In Bosnia, I never played basketball seriously, so I don’t know much about it. But I can tell you about the differences between Slovenian and Spanish. The differences are mainly in the quality of the games, of the players and, of course, of the organization. Spanish basketball is at the highest level in Europe.”

-How have you improved this season?

“Mainly shooting technique and how to move during the game, in the matches.”

-What is your assessment of the season, when there is only one game left?

“It was a tough season, not easy for us and some unexpected things have happened, but for this team’s first season, I think we’ve done a good job. We’ve been together the whole time, and that’s the most important thing “.
