Alejandro ‘A\u00edto’ Garc\u00eda Reneses (Madrid, 1946) is the new coach of the B\u00e0squet Girona first team. Garc\u00eda Reneses, with extensive experience in state and European basketball, becomes the top representative of the technical team in the club’s debut season in the elite.<\/span><\/p>\n

‘A\u00edto’ Garc\u00eda Reneses has an extensive career on state benches with a European route. In the 2013-14 season, he played over a thousand games as a coach in the ACB (1,077 in total). During his long journey he has coached at FC Barcelona (14 seasons), Club Joventut de Badalona (7), Club Baloncesto M\u00e1laga (3), Club Baloncesto Sevilla (2) and Club Baloncesto Gran Canaria (2).<\/span><\/p>\n

His last European experience was at the German ALBA Berlin (2017-21), which competed in the Euroleague, where he won one edition of the German Cup and twice the Bundesliga (German first division).<\/span><\/p>\n

The technical organization chart that will accompany ‘A\u00edto’ Garc\u00eda Reneses in B\u00e0squet Girona’s debut season in the elite will be configured in the coming days.<\/span><\/p>\n

A\u00edto Garc\u00eda Reneses: “After a sabbatical year, I decided to accept the offer from B\u00e0squet Girona to continue training. At the moment I am looking forward to forming the best team possible to work with the best enthusiasm to improve the players and achieve the best results.”<\/p>\n
