Three out of three for the Girona Basketball seniors, who this afternoon won a valuable victory over Arcos Albacete Basket (75-82). The team led by Quim Costa always carried the weight of the match and got to a +11 in the middle of the third quarter, but had to grind until the end to break the resistance of a very combative opponent. The people from Girona consolidate in the upper zone of the East group of LEB Plata (3-0). <\/p>\n
The equality that presided over the first quarter was broken at the beginning of the second, after two consecutive triples by Cizmic (22-30, 15′). The Mancheques couldn’t find either Tyler Rudolph (2 free-throw points in Ecuador) or the shooting from outside (0\/7 in the first two quarters), but the work under the boards of Marcus Van allowed them to compensate- ho and go to the dressing room with little disadvantage (34-38). Basketball Girona, with low percentages in the first half (35% in field goals), accelerated at the start of the third quarter. Sergi Costa took the reins and Berry was present in the paint to open a hole (partial 0-9 and 39-50, 25′). Arcos Albacete Basket, far from giving up, raised the intensity a notch and the Girona players collapsed to the point of losing their cushion (65-67, 35′).
