The two teams will play their first preparation matches on August 28 and 29, respectively, as part of the 2nd Platja d&#8217;Aro Basketball Tournament. The countdown to the start of the 2026\/27 season is already underway. After starting training on August 17, both SPAR Girona and FIATC Girona already know the date and opponent of their first pre-season match.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SPAR Girona will be the first to enter the scene. The Girona team will play their first preparation match on Friday, August 28, at 8:00 p.m., against Manresa CBF, as part of the 2nd edition of the Platja d&#8217;Aro Basketball Tournament. The match will serve as the first test for the team led by Roberto \u00cd\u00f1iguez after the first weeks of work. The following day, Saturday, August 29, at 8:00 p.m., it will be FIATC Girona&#8217;s turn, who will face Cheshire Phoenix on the same stage and within the program of the 2nd Platja d&#8217;Aro Basketball Tournament.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tickets for both matches can now be purchased<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ticketspotapp.com\/e\/fiatc-girona\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ticketspotapp.com\/e\/fiatc-girona\">Buy tickets MEN<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ticketspotapp.com\/e\/spar-girona\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ticketspotapp.com\/e\/spar-girona\">Buy tickets WOMEN<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The City Council of Castell d&#8217;Aro, Platja d&#8217;Aro and S&#8217;Agar\u00f3 and B\u00e0squet Girona therefore continue with their institutional, sporting and promotional collaboration. In addition to the tournament, the public will be able to enjoy all the tourist services &#8211; commerce, leisure, catering, accommodation, etc. &#8211; and the natural environment of the municipality. An initiative that reinforces Castell d&#8217;Aro, Platja d&#8217;Aro as a reference destination in the sports field, with the capacity to host reference events in this field.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The synergies between the council and B\u00e0squet Girona were established in 2020, and since then have been embodied in advertising and promotional actions in the Fontajau Pavilion and in the clubs&#8217; official media; and also with initiatives in the municipality with various formats: pre-season training and matches, creation of a basketball campus for children and young people, presentation of official equipment or the 3\u00d73 section in the municipality, visits by players to the Casal Esportiu or an environmental action on World Climate Change Day.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, the creation of the tournament keeps alive the long relationship of Castell d&#8217;Aro, Platja d&#8217;Aro and S&#8217;Agar\u00f3 with professional and top-level basketball. For more than 15 years, several teams have chosen the municipality and its facilities to hold training camps and matches, including UMMC Ekaterinburg, Bar\u00e7a CBS Joventut, Manresa, Menorca, Gran Canaria, Alba de Berlin, Dynamo and Zenit de Sant Petesburg, Kiev, Donetsk, Bar\u00e7a; and of course Spar Girona and B\u00e0squet Girona.
