The South Sudanese center, with a Canadian passport and standing 1.93 meters tall, arrives from Azulmarino Mallorca Palma and signs for one season.

Bulgak has extensive international experience. The new SPAR Girona player was educated at O’Leary High School in Edmonton (Canada) and later made the leap to American college basketball at Florida State, where she played between 2014 and 2016. Her performance allowed her to be selected in the twelfth position of the 2016 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty. She later also joined the ranks of the Chicago Sky.

After her first stint in the WNBA, Bulgak made the leap to the Spanish League with IDK Euskotren. She later played in Israel between 2017 and 2022, playing for Elitzur Ramla, Maccabi Ramat Gan and Maccabi Haifa. Throughout her career, the midfielder has also played in different countries and competitions. She has played for the Shinhan Bank S-Birds of South Korea, the Russian Nadezhda Orenburg, with whom she played in the Euroleague, the French Toulouse and Flammes Carolo and the Libertadores de Querétaro of Mexico.

Bulgak began the 2024/25 season with Elitzur Ramla, of the Israeli first division, with whom she also played in the EuroCup. In the domestic competition, the midfielder averaged 12.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game, while in the EuroCup she contributed 8.3 points and 7 rebounds in the four games played. In the second half of the season, the player arrived at IDK Euskotren, where she offered a great performance and became an important piece of the Basque team. In the 14 games played in the Endesa Women’s League, Bulgak signed 11.6 points and 8 rebounds per game.

In the 2025/26 season, Bulgak played for Azulmarino Mallorca Palma. In the regular season, she played in 13 games, averaging 11.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. During the promotion playoffs to the Endesa Women’s League, she played in three games and increased her performance to 14 points and 10 rebounds per game.

With the selection

Adut Bulgak’s international career has also been particularly notable with the South Sudan national team. The center has been one of the African team’s leading players in recent years and has participated in several international competitions.

Bulgak was part of the FIBA Women’s AfroBasket Qualifiers 2023, a competition in which she began to consolidate herself as one of the main internal references of the South Sudanese national team. Later, she participated in the FIBA Women’s AfroBasket 2025, held in Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), where South Sudan won the bronze medal, a historic result for the country’s basketball. In 2026, Bulgak was also part of the South Sudanese national team that played in the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournament, held in Wuhan (China) from March 11 to 17.

Her last international participation was in the FIBA Women’s Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament 2026, held in Mexico from August 17 to 23. In this competition, Bulgak was one of the main players for the South Sudan national team, averaging 19.3 points, 15.3 rebounds and 1 assist per game, achieving an average rating of 24 in the three games played.

With her arrival at SPAR Girona, Bulgak brings experience, physical power and rebounding ability to the paint, as well as extensive international experience having competed in Europe, Asia, America and the WNBA. Her addition strengthens the team’s interior game ahead of a 2026/27 season in which SPAR Girona will face new challenges both nationally and Europeanly.

Statements from Pere Puig, sports director of SPAR Girona:

“ With the arrival of Adut Bulgak we have added the last piece we were missing. A player who will certainly help us a lot in rebounding and who also has a very good hand from the three-point line. It was an indispensable fact that Roberto was looking for: that, at least, one of the interior players could also play from the three-point line and open up the field. Adut will certainly help us a lot in this aspect and will be an important player within Roberto’s schemes.”

Benvinguda, Adut! ✅

La jugadora reforça el joc interior de l'Spar Girona 🔥 pic.twitter.com/elYeEjZXBn
— SPAR Girona (@unigirona) August 26, 2026

Adut Bulgak (South Sudan, December 20, 1992) is a new player for SPAR Girona for the 2026/27 season.
