The Girona team arrives at the event after the effort of the European qualifier against Emlak Konut and with the challenge of recovering physically and competitively to face a new league commitment. They will face a team that went from less to more last season and that will seek to continue growing at the beginning of this school year.

About the opponent

Movistar Estudiantes has new faces this year, starting with the arrival of Isaac Fernández, a well-established coach at LF Endesa. In addition, the Madrid team has players known to Girona fans, such as Irati Etxarri and Júlia Soler, although the latter will not be able to play the match, in principle, due to injury.

The team also has national players such as Laia Lamana or Begoña de Santiago, as well as an international block formed by players such as Broughton, Cooper, Fequiere, Lamakea or Strautmane, among others. It is, therefore, a renewed team that maintains a competitive base and that will seek to become strong in front of its fans.

The last precedent between the two teams at Magariños is in favor of SPAR Girona. Last season, the Girona team had to come back to win 79-88 in Madrid.

Recover and compete

SPAR Girona comes into the match after the accumulated effort of the EuroLeague Women preliminary phase and with little room to recover before competing again in the LF Endesa. After losing to Emlak Konut, the Girona team will have to face a new demanding commitment against a rival that arrives with new additions.

SPAR Girona will face the first matchday of the LF Endesa this Saturday at 6:00 p.m. with a visit to Movistar Estudiantes at the Antonio Magariños pavilion.
