The Girona team built the victory from a high-level second quarter and a third period in which Mac McClung led the attack with an exhibition of outside shooting. In the second period, the Girona team took a step forward, with good leadership from Mac McClung and great defensive work from the entire team. Moncho Fern\u00e1ndez&#8217;s team gradually closed the gap until turning the score around with points from Pluta, Glas and McClung himself, who extended the lead to 45-37. A three-pointer from Laprovittola tied the score before halftime, which was 45-41 in favor of FIATC Girona.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the second half, FIATC Girona maintained control of the game and extended their lead with Mac McClung as the main protagonist, making three consecutive three-pointers to make it 63-54. The good offensive momentum of the Girona team continued with Kunc&#8217;s 2+1 and Jassel&#8217;s points, reaching 71-54. La Penya, however, reacted with a 0-7 run and closed the gap to 72-63 at the end of the third quarter. In the final period, FIATC Girona managed to maintain their lead and responded to the visitors&#8217; attempts with success from outside. Three consecutive three-pointers, two by Pluta and one by Glas, made it 92-77 with 4:37 left and gave the home team peace of mind.
