Salva Camps, new coach of Basketball Girona

The coach, with experience as an assistant in the ACB League, will take over on the Girona bench

Salvador ‘Salva’ Camps Sanjosé (Badalona, ​​1979) will be the main coach of Basketball Girona. At the age of 44, he has several experiences as an assistant at the ACB: from 2015 to 2017 he was an assistant at Joventut de Badalona and from the 2017 to 2019 season he went on to carry out the same task at CB Gran Canaria, also managing its subsidiary in 2019. Since 2020-21 he has been part of the Baxi Manresa staff. He started his career on the benches in 2012 with the Irish Moycullen Basketball Club.

His training as a coach has also been marked by his time in the lower categories of the Spanish Basketball Federation. Currently, he is in the working group of the pre-list of the absolute selection, in full preparation for the World Cup, which will be played from August 25 to September 10.

As a player he also had a prominent role, playing 4 campaigns in the ACB. It was part of Cantabria, Gran Canaria and Menorca.
