Jaume Sorolla and Pato Garino visit the Astrid-21 Foundation

Both players met this Foundation, focused on guaranteeing the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities

The Astrid-21 Foundation is a non-profit, social initiative whose mission is to guarantee people’s quality of life  with Down syndrome and/or intellectual disability through various services, designed to respond to the different needs and demands of these people throughout their life cycle and thus promote their full inclusion and participation in society .

Jaume Sorolla and Pato Garino, players of the first team of Básquet Girona, wanted to get closer to their users through a visit to the Foundation. During the meeting, they were able to meet its users and discover the areas in which Astrid-21 works: training, work, health, occupational, adult life and leisure.

The values ​​of the Foundation stand out, framed within the  respect towards people with intellectual disabilities as citizens with full rights. The innovation , professional efficiency , the teamwork  and the quality  of the organization’s operation are also the pillars of this social project.
