Aíto García Reneses is presented as coach of Basketball Girona

The new coach of the first team points out the excitement that the project breathes and the importance of giving the maximum in each game

Aíto García Reneses was presented to the media as the new coach of Básquet Girona this Friday at the Fontajau pavilion. The Madrid coach highlighted the excitement generated by the proposal to coach Girona Basketball as “one of my passions, if not the only one”. Aíto has underlined the excitement that can be felt in the city and in the people who greet him for his debut in the highest category and the creation of the first squad. It has also given relevance to daily work and the goal of not setting a ceiling other than to give the maximum as a team in each game. 

Sporting director Jordi Plà i Comas has emphasized Aíto’s career at the highest level and the importance of his arrival both for growing the first team and the club as a whole. 

Aíto García Reneses: “When they made me the proposal, I thought that one of my passions, if not the only one, is to be related to basketball: I’m excited to coach Básquet Girona.”

“The illusion is clear that it is very good. Every team that manages to go up, the fans are very dedicated to the cause. I can see it on the street with people greeting and showing enthusiasm for what has been achieved.”
