Jordi Plà i Comas, new sports director

The new member of the sports area emphasizes that he faces this stage with enthusiasm and ambition

The new representative of the club’s sports management is Jordi Plà i Comas. Having concluded the senior season with promotion to LEB Or, the club’s sports department has decided to once again divide the responsibilities of the sports director and coach between two different people. Plan will act with the senior together with the base. The club appreciates the work of Alex Formento in this position.

The new sports director’s career has a close relationship with basketball, working as a coach and journalist. He wrote mainly in the current “L’Esportiu” and also wrote several reports on the ACB website. This past year he has been carrying out social initiatives at Càritas Girona.

“Whether there are more or fewer teams has nothing to do with the volume of the workforce. If there are more or fewer teams, yes, there will be more supply or more demand. What will affect are the schedules, since we will have more or less time for training and to prepare.”
