The senior will start the league in Fontajau against Básquet Menorca for the third consecutive season

Since the senior team was established, the first rival in the league in Fontajau has always been Básquet Menorca. Now, under the orders of Àlex Formento, the Girona team will look to give the first joy next Saturday (8 p.m.) in a clash that is expected to be contested until the last possession.

After finishing in the relegation group of LEB Plata the previous season, Hestia Menorca will land in Fontajau with a significant change of face. The Menorcan team will once again be led by Oriol Pagès and keep four members of last year’s squad: Xavi Hernández, Jorge Jiménez, Adrián Méndez and Duby Okeke. On the other hand, it has incorporated up to six new faces, the most notable being Alberto Corbacho, from ACB, and Urko Otegui, from LEB Or with experience in the highest category. The senior’s next opponent has strengthened his outside game and added competitiveness to the block.
