The senior makes his debut in LEB Plata with a victory against Hestia Menorca

Básquet Girona has started the second year in LEB Plata with a victory against Hestia Menorca. The men trained by Àlex Formento have always been ahead of the scoreboard and have been decisive both in attack and defense (45 rebounds in total).

The senior took the first lead with two consecutive plays in the paint. The team led by Àlex Formento circulated fluidly inside (Hester 7 points) and outside (3/7). The opponent only responded with a single triple that left an initial difference of ten points (13-3). After the first time-out requested by the rival coach, Hestia Menorca referred from the triple (4/8). Even so, the locals also knew how to run on the counterattack, leaving a difference of five points in the first quarter (22-17).

In the second period, the senior stayed strong in the inside game. Menorca responded under the hoop but did not overcome the bar of five points below with good local defenses.
