Girona Basketball has reached an agreement for the next season with Leo Cizmic. The Croatian winger, born in Israel (2.04m, 17-12-1998), took his first steps in basketball at KK Split. In the summer of 2014, Sevilla signed him and, for two seasons, combined the junior and the EBA. In the 2015/16 season he would even become the youngest in the club’s history to debut in the ACB. He would do it in December 2015, against Baskonia in Vitoria, aged 17 years and three days. In the last two seasons, he has played for Morón (LEB Silver) and Araberri (LEB Gold) as a loanee for Betis -former Baloncesto Sevilla-, a club he has left in recent weeks. He has been international for Croatia in the U16, U18 and U20 categories. Cizmic arrived in Girona today and tomorrow he will be available to Quim Costa at the start of the pre-season.

“I spoke with my agent and family and, together, we were very clear weeks ago that the best decision for me was to play for Basketball Girona this coming season. We believe that, together with the coach and the rest of guys, I will be able to grow a lot as a player”

“We will have a young team, but with a lot of talent and we cannot set limits. I am convinced that we will have a good time”
