After two consecutive games away from home, the senior team of Básquet Girona returns to play in Fontajau on Saturday. It will do so at an unusual time (8:30 p.m.) – previously, Spar Citylift Girona has a Women’s League game – and with the intention of reuniting with the positive feelings and victory. The team led by Quim Costa, third in the CA group of the EBA League (13-7), needs it in order not to see its position threatened because those below are accelerating.

The Barberà Team Values obtained their biggest win of the season last day (78-54, +24), against CB Cantaires, although they remain eleventh (7-13), in the dangerous zone. The team goes to Girona with the worst record as a visitor in the group – 1-8 record, with the only victory at CB Quart Germans Cruz (80-81) – and having consolidated its problems in scoring . In fact, it only scores 69.1 points per game, the second worst record behind that of Club Básquet Roser (67.8), and with low percentages especially from the triple (29.4%). The work in attack is divided mainly between three players. It is Hernán Olaguibe, Sergio Guardia and Marc Sobrepera, who credit 34.8 points and 14.4 rebounds between the three. The squad led by David Lizano also includes Iván Llull, Sergi’s brother. In the first round, in Valais territory, Girona Basketball won (73-81), with 17 points from Xavi Costa.
