Defeat El Masnou

The senior ended his streak of seven consecutive victories in the CA group of the EBA League today

The Girona Basketball senior has lost his first game in almost three months. The team led by Quim Costa fell this evening on the track of Vive-el Masnou Basketball (105-80) and surrenders the leadership of the CA group of the EBA League. He is left with an 11-4 record, one less win than his opponent today (12-3), who also beat him in average . In Fontajau, +8 for Girona.

The locals came out with a lot of determination and immediately took an advantage on the scoreboard (13-2 after a 10-0 half-time). The team tried to find their game, but in front of such an inspired opponent it was impossible to get close. In fact, at halftime, the difference was even greater (54-39). The offensive rhythm of the Maresmencs did not drop in the third quarter and Básquet Girona soon ran out of options to fight for victory. Raimon Carrasco has not been able to play because of some minor discomfort in his back.  

Next week there is no day. The next match for the seniors will be on Saturday, February 10 in Fontajau, against Mataró Parc Boet (7 p.m.).
