The Girona Básquet senior will try to get back on the road to victory on Sunday at noon in Fontajau (1 p.m.) after losing the first game of the season in the EBA League last week in Mataró. The team led by Quim Costa is still in the upper zone of group CA (2-1) and, to stay there, it must overcome Club Básquet Menorca. The Balearics opened the box office of triumphs just on the last day and they still find themselves with a negative balance (1-2). Quim Salvans, with an average of 18 points, is the top scorer for the visitors, who are led on the bench by Oriol Pagès – he was Xavi Pascual’s assistant at Barça for three seasons (2013-16) – and have players with a lot of experience in the LEB competitions, such as Jorge Jiménez or Jan Orfila. Neither, but he was able to make his debut this year.
