GIRONA BASKETBALL HAS WON THREE OF THE FOUR OVERTIME GAMES IN THE ACB

It is a fact that the Girona team is good at winning games in extra time. Fotis Katsikaris’ team won this past weekend in extra time against Surne Bilbao Basket. And the fact is that the team from Girona has won three overtimes out of the four they have contested in the history of the ACB.

The only defeat was the first overtime that the Girona team played against Gran Canaria. The first victory in extra time turned out to be the first year of the ACB with that rebound from Jaume Sorolla in Zaragoza. During the second season, the team only reached the “fifth quarter” once and it was in Fontajau against Morabanc Andorra (rival on matchday 8), in which Bàsquet Girona won by three points.
