The match started with the home team setting the pace in both baskets and establishing the first -7 gap on the scoreboard, which would end the first quarter (22-15). In the second, the first rival basket placed the team at -9 but an extraordinary reaction from the Girona defense allowed a 4-16 run that put them ahead for the first time on the scoreboard (30-33) despite the five Andalusian points before the break (35-33).

In the second half, Granada managed to take the lead (47-39) but a brave Girona turned the tables with a 0-11 run that allowed them to take the lead at the end of the third quarter after a three-pointer by Durham (53-57). Although the Girona team maintained the advantage until the final stretch, a 17-7 run, with Granada scoring the difference from the free throw, meant that the victory remained in Andalusian territory (78-74).
