Fan Marc Pujadas has become the first winner of the “Tir For Joe” challenge, an activation promoted by partner Food For Joe during Bàsquet Girona matches at the Fontajau pavilion. The milestone was achieved this Saturday, in the home match against Río Breogán.
The challenge consists of hitting three shots from different positions on the court: one from the free throw line, a three-pointer and a shot from midfield, all in a maximum of 45 seconds. The initial prize was €6,000, but it increased by €1,000 each game if there was no winner.
After five unsuccessful days —with the first attempt coinciding with the match against Barça— Marc Pujadas was the first participant to successfully complete all three shots, taking home the accumulated prize of €10,000, the largest ever awarded in a club activation.
As he explained, Pujadas will use the Food For Joe prize to pay off part of the mortgage he recently signed. Without a doubt, a double victory on and off the track.
