Maxi Fjellerup renews with Bàsquet Girona for two seasons

Girona Basketball and one of its captains, Maxi Fjellerup, have reached an agreement for the renewal of the Argentine player for two more seasons. The international guard, who arrived at the Girona club in January 2022, will continue to be linked to the entity until the summer of 2027, consolidating himself as a key piece of the sports project.

Fjellerup (Tres Arroyos, Argentina, 1997), 1.98 meters tall, has been one of the team’s most outstanding players during the last season in the Endesa League. With his defensive intensity, athletic ability and offensive versatility, he has earned the esteem of the fans.

Since his arrival, he has played 119 official matches with the club, becoming the player who has defended the colors of Bàsquet Girona the most times. In the Endesa League, he has already played 90 matches with the Girona shirt. This season, he has averaged 20.6 minutes per match, in which he has scored an average of 9.8 points, with 55.2% in two-point shots, 36.3% in three-point shots and 83.9% in free throws. In addition, he has captured 4.09 rebounds and distributed 1.41 assists per match. The Argentine player arrived in Girona in January 2022, from Palmer Alma Mediterrània de Palma, to strengthen the team in its last season in the LEB Or.
