THIRD CONSECUTIVE TRIUMPH OF SPAR GIRONA IN THE PRE-SEASON (96-42)

Spar Girona | Thursday, 11 September 2025

Spar Girona have added their third victory of the pre-season by clearly overcoming Santfeliuenc in Platja d’Aro (96-42). Roberto Íñiguez’s team have dominated from start to finish, with a devastating start and a choral game that has allowed all the players to share minutes.

A devastating start for Spar Girona who, with the rhythm of Canella and Jocytė, quickly imposed a +10 (12-2). Despite the timeout by Santfeliuenc, the Girona team maintained the speed of play and outscored the visitors (19-5). However, three consecutive three-pointers from the Barcelona team adjusted the score (21-14).

Following Roberto Íñiguez’s instructions, Spar Girona once again imposed their game with focused attacks under the basket, where Coulibaly and Holm stood out (35-16). Not even the visitors’ orders could stop Mariam’s internal dominance, who with a 2+1 extended the advantage (15 points from Coulibaly, 38-16). Despite a basket from the blues (38-19), Íñiguez stopped the game and, in just two minutes, Spar scored a devastating 10-0 run (49-19).

The good dynamics on both sides of the court continued in the third period, highlighting the three consecutive baskets by Pendande and the actions of Klara and Quevedo (69 to 24). After the visiting timeout, a 3 to 4 period closed the fourth (72 to 28).

In the last period, Spar Girona distributed minutes between all the players, maintaining control of the match. Coulibaly and Lola extended the lead (76-33 and 81-35), followed by new actions from the pivot and Klara (83-37). A three-pointer from Carol and a basket from Pendande put the score at 90-39, before Lola extended it to 96-42.
