Alexandre Chassang strengthens Bàsquet Girona

The French player signs a temporary three-week contract

Alexandre Pierre Louis Chassang (Châtenay-Malabry, 11/22/1994) is a new player for Bàsquet Girona for the next three weeks, with the option to continue until the end of the season. The 2.04-meter-tall center comes from Limoges CSP, a team with which he played in the French league.

Chassang has spent almost his entire career in France, with the exception of a brief stint in Turkey. In 2010 he joined the INSEP federal basketball center, and in 2012 he signed for ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne, where he played for four seasons and made his Eurocup debut in the 2013-14 campaign. He then played two seasons at Hyères-Toulon and three at JDA Dijon, a team with which he played in the Basketball Champions League (BCL) for all three years.

In the 2021-22 season he signed for the Turkish Yalovaspor, but during the same season he returned to France to join Bourg-en-Bresse, where he played two seasons and again played in the Eurocup. In his last season before arriving at Bàsquet Girona, with Limoges CSP, he averaged 9.3 points, 5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. He has been international with the French national team in the U16, U18, U20 and also with the absolute.
