After winning the derby against Hiopos Lleida in Fontajau to close the year, Bàsquet Girona kicks off 2026 with another Catalan derby, this time against BAXI Manresa in Nou Congost (9:00 p.m., DAZN). The Girona team will be looking to secure their first win in Manresa, which would also be their first away win this season. Coincidentally, 2025 also began with a Catalan derby away win in Barris Nord de Lleida.
BAXI Manresa continues to be coached by Diego Ocampo and has recently added new pieces to its gear that have contributed to being a more solid and competitive team. A rival that always poses demanding challenges and even more so when playing with its fans.
