The 2.07-meter-tall power forward comes from Twarde Pierniki Toruń in Poland. Kunc played in Slovenia between 2014 and 2017 before moving to Elevation Preparatory Academy in Sarasota, Florida, in 2018 to complete his senior year of high school. He then played for two universities in the United States. He first played for the Washington State Cougars between the 2018/19 and 2020/21 seasons, and then played for the Iowa State Cyclones during the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons. He later began his professional career in the Polish league with Twarde Pierniki Toruń.
In his last season with the Polish team, Kunc averaged 17.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 28 games played. He also had a 35.7% success rate on three-point shots and an average rating of 19.4 per game.
The player has also participated with the Slovenian national team in the qualifying matches for EuroBasket 2025 and in the qualifying phase for the 2027 World Cup.
