Alexandre Chassang has spent almost his entire career in France, with the exception of a brief stint in Turkey. In 2010 he joined the INSEP federal basketball center, and in 2012 he signed for ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne, where he played for four seasons and made his Eurocup debut in the 2013-14 campaign. He then played two seasons at Hyères-Toulon and three at JDA Dijon, a team with which he played in the Basketball Champions League (BCL) for all three years.
In the 2021-22 season he signed for the Turkish Yalovaspor, but during the same season he returned to France to join Bourg-en-Bresse, where he played for two seasons and again played in the Eurocup.
In his last season before joining Bàsquet Girona, with Limoges CSP, he averaged 9.3 points, 5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. He has been an international with the French national team in the U16, U18, U20 and senior categories.
