A trajectory to be satisfied with

The senior closes his first season, with a third position in the EBA CA group and showing very reliable at home (12-1)

The Girona senior team ended its first season of existence a few days ago. The team led by Quim Costa has been third in the CA group of the EBA League (17-9 balance sheet), a remarkable result considering that the planning could not be done until July, when the agreement was received of the square With a squad made up mostly of players between 19 and 21 years old, it has been able to maintain a regular line from the first day – only once has it linked two defeats – and has stayed alive in the fight for the two places that gave access to the promotion phase to LEB Plata until the final stage of the championship.

The Girona side have been particularly solid in Fontajau, where they have only let slip one of the thirteen games they have played there (defeat in the 7th matchday, against Arenys Básquet Joventut). The fans who got close to it were able to see a proposed game that gives preponderance to defensive activity and a lively rhythm, with short attacks. This has allowed him to finish as the third highest scorer in the group (76.5 points), as well as the first in triple percentage (36.3%) and assists (15.5). No player has particularly stood out on the statistical side in a team where everyone has contributed. The eleven players in the first team have played between 11 and 25 minutes on average. They have been joined by Pau Casademont, who usually plays with CB Sant Narcís (Catalan 2nd), and juniors Eduard Ramos and Guillem Cuadrado. All three have debuted in the category.

The technical plot has already started to think about the next season, without ruling out any scenario, such as the possibility of making the jump to LEB Plata. No decision has been made on this yet.
