Anna Jódar and Arnau Sacot will participate in a research project at EUSES

The project will deal with performance, genetics and epigenetics in young basketball players

Anna Jódar and Arnau Sacot, physical trainers of the club and basketball teachers at EUSES, are two of the eight members of the research group formed by Jesús Escosa, director of the Girona Basketball performance area, Dra. Anna Prats, Dr. Raquel Font and Dr. Víctor López from EUSES, Jordi Barretina, director of IDibgi and Dr. Julio Calleja, professor at the Universidad del País Vasco, who will carry out a research project with the aim of looking for possible relationships between the players’ physical performance and genetics.

Under the title “Performance, genetics and epigenetics in young basketball players”, the project has  The aim is to assess some aspects related to the performance of young basketball players based on the assessment of some variables in the conditional field, motor competence, genetics and epigenetics.  with the desire to contribute to  their knowledge and in the acquisition of relevant information that may influence some modifications in various methodological aspects to be applied within the entity.
