Axelle Merceron strengthens Spar Girona

The French power forward joins until the end of the season and for the 26/27 season.

Spar Girona has reached an agreement for the incorporation of the forward-center Axelle Merceron (22 years old, France, 1.89 m). The player signs until the end of the season and for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The French player arrives after having played 21 games in the LF Endesa with Spar Gran Canaria this season, with an average of 18.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 23.6 rating per game, being one of the most outstanding interior players in the competition and accumulating five MVP of the day distinctions throughout the course.

Merceron trained in the youth basketball team of Bourges Basket and later played for four consecutive seasons at UFAB 49 Angers before arriving in the Spanish league this year.
