Carles Marco, new coach of Basketball Girona

The Catalan technician credits baggage to both the benches of the LEB Or and the ACB

Carles Marco i Viñas (Badalona, ​​1974) will be the top technical manager of the senior team in his first season in the LEB Or. The link with the Catalan coach is for the next two seasons extendable to a third.  

Marco’s journey on the benches began at Básquet Manresa, where he worked as an assistant coach in the ACB league from 2011 to 2015. Then, at Oviedo Club Baloncesto, already in the LEB Or, he began his journey as first coach, three seasons at the Asturian club (2015-2018), including a cup title, and, from January 2019 until the interruption of the last season, on the bench of Palencia Baloncesto.
