Carles Ribot and Raül Galobardes, new coaches of the Club

Coaches Carles Ribot and Raül Galobardes will be part of the CEB Marc Gasol coaching staff next season. Both have experience in Girona basketball and at the same time outside the province. The sports director, Marc Pena, assures that the experience they have in formative basketball and in the senior category at state level “helps them to have a very clear idea of ​​the player’s improvement needs in their various facets throughout every stage”.

In the case of Ribot, this will be his return to the organization after a year off the slopes for family reasons. The coach from Girona led Cadet B in what was the Club’s first year of existence. He had previously managed CE Sant Nicolau of the EBA League with which he was proclaimed champion of group C and first ranked in the promotion phases to LEB Plata. He also participated in the Spanish Junior Championship in the 2008/09 season with CB Sant Josep Girona, where they finished seventh.

As for Raül Galobardes, he comes from UER Pineda with whom he reached the final four in the Cadet Preferent category this past season. At the same time, he was the coach who took the CB Girona Cadet to the Spanish Cadet Championships in the 2007/08 season, where they finished sixth.

The additions of Carles and Raül, added to the continuity of several technicians who were already part of the organization, “will contribute to getting a good staff of trainers for the Club for the 2016/17 season”, concludes Pena .  At the moment, it has not been defined what will be the staff of the various CEB Marc Gasol teams.
