Elias, a RehaGirona-Bàsquet Girona player, and Laia Planella, the team's physical trainer, have won the junior Spanish championships with the Catalan team.
This weekend of February 18 and 19, the Spanish Championship of Autonomous Selections for school-age basketball in wheelchairs 3×3 was held. On Saturday, in the group stage, the Catalan team won all three games played. On Sunday, on the final day of the Championship, he won in the quarters and semi-finals to finally face the grand final against the Basque Country selection, winning narrowly by 12-11.
The young player from RehaGirona-Bàsquet Girona was key in the grand final, where he participated directly in half of the points scored by his team, with 5 points and 1 assist. On the other hand, Laia Planella’s role as technical assistant was also crucial for the Catalan team to end up taking home the gold medal.
