Básquet Girona has started the pre-season matches on a good foot with a victorious debut against Barça B in Platja d’Aro (75-60). In a match with a weak outside baggage, the performance in the paint of Davis Rozitis has energized the Red attack while Dani García and Ryan Logan have structured the collective spirit in the game (14 and 15 rating respectively ).

The attacks have starred in the first elections of the game (12-12, 5′) with the significant participation of Davis Rozitis on the part of the local team (8 points, 4/4). The paint has been the predominant offensive zone while neither team has been comfortable outside (one triple each). Precisely the only Girona triple, by Olaf Schaftenaar, would conclude the first ten minutes in the last second of possession (22-18).

The balance continued at the beginning of the second period, when the men from the bench appeared with the same intensity (30-30, 15′). Attacking effectiveness continued to appear more than defensive determination. The last basketball has also been from Girona, the work of Albert Sàbat (41-38).

The third quarter was decisive. An initial 14-4 run, with three three-pointers in the first few minutes, gave the Reds the first lead (55-42, 24′). The great offensive and defensive performance continued to widen the gap to sixteen points at the end of the period, with a good rhythm in the scoring that continued the good feelings on both sides of the court (65-49).

The team did not lower the bar and continued to be competitive (71-51, 35′) to end up taking the first victory in the first pre-season friendly.
