Básquet Girona returns to Fontajau this Wednesday (20:30) after adding the first victory as a visitor on the court of JAFEP FG La Roda. The senior will play the second home game of the season having won the last two meetings and with the label of being the best defender in the competition. Ahead, the challenge of maintaining the positive dynamic and competing again four days after the visit to La Roda.

The opponent will be CB Benicarló led by Jordi Adell, in what is his third season in charge. With him as coach, the Valencian team achieved promotion to LEB Plata last year after finishing runner-up in the play-off group stage. The sports area has given continuity to five members of the previous staff and has been strengthened with EBA values, ex-Almansa Justinas Olechanvicius and ex-Prat Pol Bassas, with experience in LEB Or. In fact, these two are the players most used by Adell, ahead of José Antonio Morales, the team’s top scorer. The team from Benicarló will arrive in Fontajau with the aim of achieving the first victory in Plata and getting out of the tail of the classification after falling in the debut against El Prat and on the track of Menorca.
