GIRONA BASKETBALL CELEBRATES THE TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS FANS DAY

Fans were able to meet their idols up close at the open training session

This morning, Bàsquet Girona celebrated the traditional Christmas Fans Day, an open day to bring fans closer to the squad and so that they can transmit energy to the team for the rest of the season.

The doors of Fontajau were opened to fans to follow the final part of the training, meet the players in person, take photos and ask for autographs. At the end of the exercise on the court, a three-point competition was organized in which two fans competed alongside players Ike Iroegbu and Mindaugas Sušinskas, bringing an extra dose of excitement to the day. Meanwhile, the rest of the players performed a merchandising event and, immediately afterwards, the new coach Moncho Fernández gave his first speech to the Fontajau audience, with encouraging words and emphasizing the importance of fans and team following together to break the bad dynamic.

When the activity on the pitch ended, the fans began to circulate in groups on the interactive tour that the club had prepared through the corners of the pavilion. The dressing room, the VIP rooms, the gym, the press room and the team bus were visited by the hundreds of people who gathered in Fontajau. In each of the spaces, there were QR codes that hid raffles, prizes and exclusive content for all participants.
