Girona Basketball defines the 2025/26 pre-season calendar

Girona Basketball will begin training on Monday, August 25th

The men’s and women’s teams already know their respective rivals. The team coached by Moncho Fernández and the team led by Roberto Íñiguez will begin working on August 25, after passing the relevant medical examinations. Bàsquet Girona already knows one of its first rivals of the pre-season. The team will play its first friendly match on September 6 in Sant Julià de Vilatorta, where it will face Joventut Badalona (8:30 p.m.), in one of the first tests before the start of the 2025/26 season in the ACB.

On September 10, in a match in Andorra, Spar Girona will face Toulouse at 7 p.m. On the 11th, coinciding with the National Day of Catalonia, the team will play the Platja d’Aro Basketball Tournament against CB Santfeliuenc, at 7 p.m. Bàsquet Girona will also participate in this tournament, facing FC Barcelona on September 12 at 8:30 p.m. at the Palau d’Esports i Congressos in Platja d’Aro. Subsequently, the team will face the Catalan League in Tarragona: on September 18 against Hiopos Lleida, and on the 19 against BAXI Manresa. The grand final will be played on September 21 at the same venue, at 7:30 p.m.

Spar Girona will play the Catalan Women’s League on September 20 in Tarragona, against a rival yet to be confirmed from the Catalan Challenge League. The final will also be played on September 20, at 4:30 p.m. The last preparation match for both teams will take place on September 26 in Fontajau, with the official presentation of the squads. The first match will be at 6 p.m., between Spar Girona and Toulouse, champion of the French LF2 in the 2024/25 season. At 8:30 p.m., the men’s first team match will be played, which will face SS Napoli Basket, a young club founded in 2016, but which already has an Italian Cup in its portfolio, achieved in 2024.
