Girona Basketball receives support from the "la Caixa" Foundation for the purchase of two wheelchairs

Girona Basketball has received the support of the ”la Caixa” Foundation, through CaixaBank, with a contribution of 10,000 euros, for the purchase of three Allstar G2 wheelchairs in order to promote social inclusion and people with disabilities in the world of sport.

The Allstar G2 chairs are personalized in-game chairs so that players can play with maximum performance in the competition, optimizing the spin, the roll on the court and the results, as they allow the customization of the chair to the needs of each person

Rehagirona is a company that offers comprehensive solutions of high quality for active mobility. She is involved in the renovation and improvement of the wheelchair equipment of the Rehagirona – Básquet Girona team, as well as the situation of the members of the team through clinical evaluations and technical advice.

This is the second season that he collaborates with Básquet Girona. The synergy created between the two entities, added to the commitment of the ”la Caixa” Foundation, is essential for improving the quality of life of people with reduced mobility and their inclusion in the world of sport.

Thanks to its territorial capillarity, the network of CaixaBank offices, the largest in Spain with a presence in 2,200 municipalities, can detect local needs and support the ”la Caixa” Foundation in the channeling of financial aid addressed to social entities. In 2022, through CaixaBank branches, 5,624 social projects from 5,041 entities were promoted.
