Básquet Girona will play tomorrow (7:00 p.m.) at Afanion CB Almansa, with whom they are tied in the standings, to resume the road to victory

After last week’s stumble, the team coached by Quim Costa has already turned the page, as the league does not stop and every game is important. Básquet Girona will travel to the Manche region to face Afanion CB Almansa, a rival with whom they played two months ago and with whom they lost 46-66.

Now, ten games later, the two teams are tied in the classification table with the same record of wins and losses (10 – 6). Both are better teams away from home – they have only lost two  matches – and at home they have been more irregular – four wins and four losses -. All  and so, the team coached by Rubén Perelló will demand the best Girona version, since in the last two home games, the team from Manche has defeated Azuqueca and CB Vic.

Not only will Girona have a new player compared to the first leg (Jordi Trias arrived four days later), the team from Castilla – La Mancha has also changed the squad slightly. In addition, the two signings have two facts in common, they come from a LEB Or group and are Catalan. They are Gerard Blat, who started the season with El Prat, and Nil Brià, ex-player of Força Lleida. The last comes to make up for the absence of Carlos Cerdán, who has terminated his contract for personal reasons.

Apart from the two new additions, you will have to take into account the British Rowell Graham Bell (12’4 points and 14’4 rating) and the American pivot Thomas Granado (14 points, 7 rebounds and 15 rating per game) who, in fact, were already the best players in the first leg with 15 ratings each.

“We are looking forward to this match to rectify the mistakes of the other day’s match. However, we will need to have the right mentality and concentration to choose to win”.

“In the first leg we were presented with tactical situations in which we were not prepared. Tomorrow, if I hope we will be there, since we have worked on it”.
