Juan Fernández signs with Bàsquet Girona

Argentine player with Spanish passport is the first signing of the team.
Fernandez, born in Santa Fe, Argentina, in 2002, is a 210 cm center. His last team was Rio Breogán.

He is a center who can occupy any of the two inside positions. He has Spanish nationality since the summer of 2023, so he counts as a training player for the ACB League.

The new player of the Girona team started at Club Atletico Union in the city of Santa Fe. He then moved to Fuenlabrada in 2019 and made his ACB league debut with Urbas Fuenlabrada on November 14, 2021 in the derby against Real Madrid.

In his first full season in the ACB league with Carplus Fuenlabrada, he posted 6.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.

His numbers this season with Río Breogán are 8.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game.

Juan Fernandez has been part, from a very young age, of the Argentine national teams, being called by the senior national team in the last FIBA windows.

This season, Fernández, after a vote by coaches, players, media and fans, was named member of the Quinteto Joven de la liga ACB 2023-24.
