Last game in Fontajau of 2017

Fontajau will experience the last match as the home of the senior Bàsquet Girona team this 2017 in the CA group of the EBA League on Saturday. Quim Costa’s team, second (7-3) and with an open streak of three consecutive victories, receive the Aracena AEC Collblanc (7 p.m.) in a special day, in which the official presentation of the club’s teams will also be made during the half  

The current season is the seventh consecutive season in the L’Hospitalet combined category which, as usual, starts with the aspiration of moving up to LEB Plata. Despite losing two of the first three games, he has recovered and has been climbing positions until he is in fourth place with 6-3 and a game still pending on the court of CB Quart. A month ago, he was able to prevail on the court of the leader, Vive El Masnou Basketball, with clarity (71-92). Josep Maria Marsà continues for another year at the head of a team that has kept the block and has added three additions this year, one per line: the base from Girona Bernat Álvarez, the escort Marc Pagès and the interior Gerard Galbete. Statistically, the American Edson Ávila stands out with 11.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2 blocks in 22 minutes on average.  

Bàsquet Girona has joined the ‘El Gran Recapte’ charity campaign and will install a collection point for basic food for the most needy families in the pavilion, coinciding with the match.
