Martinas Geben (Vilnius, Lithuania; 20/10/1994) is a new player for Bàsquet Girona. The Lithuanian center returns to the Girona club after having played there last season on loan from Cedevita Olimpija, the team with which he started the season. During his time in Girona, he played in 21 games with an average of 9.05 points, 5.14 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game, with a 42.4% success rate in three-point shots and 70% in free throws.

At 2.08 meters tall, Geben is known for his physical strength and tactical intelligence. Trained in the NCAA with Notre Dame, he has accumulated experience in some of the main European leagues, standing out in Lithuania, Germany and also in the Endesa League. He is a player who, as he demonstrated last season, has adapted perfectly to both the city and the team’s style of play, providing leadership, rebounding and good defensive and offensive reads. Geben has played in Europe with the following teams: Juventus Utenos, Zalgiris Kaunas, Brose Bamberg, Fraport Skyliners, Baxi Manresa and Cedevita Olimpija.

Statements Fernando San Emeterio, sports director: “Martinas was a priority for us this summer. We have already seen everything he has been able to bring to us on the court and also how important he has been off it. However, the most important thing has been his desire to stay, his desire to continue helping us grow and to continue feeding what we built last year. His connection with Moncho and the group has been excellent, so it was a priority that, thanks to everyone, we have been able to make happen.”
