What was your personal and professional path before arriving at the club?

I have played and been a fan of basketball since I was a child. The fact of being from here in Girona makes me have a special link to the time of Club Bàsquet Girona, with which I grew up. At university I was clear that I wanted to dedicate myself to the world of sport and first I did CAFE and then the Physiotherapy degree, where I wanted to opt for practice in a club. I was lucky that when I entered the world of work, the senior’s offer came up, to which I ended up being accepted.

What does Basketball Girona mean to you at a professional level?

An unparalleled opportunity. I had experience in individual training centers but Basketball Girona is the first step in my professional journey in sports physiotherapy in a group.

What did you like and what surprised you the most?

What surprised me the most is the individual treatment with the players because there are some who are from outside and for them you become a person of trust. The human relationship you maintain ends up being your second family, along with the other players and the technical staff. The work environment is positive.

How do you value the change of category (from EBA to LEB Plata) from the physical aspect?

Rival teams are more physical because you tend to look for a more athletic player profile. If last season, you did not define most players in a specific position, this year, it is common to find a pure five or a more developed three.

What is your routine at the club?

When there is an injured base boy, I arrive a little before the senior afternoon session to attend to the particular treatment. If there is a senior player that needs attention, I call them in this time before the session. Then I attach it to the monitoring of the training of the first team, in case there is an accident or some other requirement of a health nature. After training I carry out all the treatments that the first team players need.

You are from Girona, which place in the province would you recommend?

I’m very coastal and personally I like the walking paths and coves of Sant Antoni de Calonge.

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?

When I’m at home, I don’t escape too much from the most shared hobbies , but above all I like to travel because I like to meet new perspectives that change my own.

Finally, a song?

Fly Me To The Moon by Frank Sinatra.
