Patricio 'Pato' Garino is the second signing for the 2022-23 season

The Argentine winger comes from Nanterre of the French top division and has experience in the ACB and the Euroleague

Patricio ‘Pato’ Garino Gullota (Mar del Plata, 1993) is the second arrival to the Basketball Girona squad for the 2022-23 season. The Argentine winger (198 cm.) comes from Nanterre of the LNB, the French top division, and has experience in the ACB and the Euroleague.

Trained in the lower categories of teams in his hometown of Mar del Plata, Garino moved to the United States at the age of 16 to continue progressing athletically and academically. From 2012 to 2016 he completed the American college stage at the George Washington Colonials of the NCAA. The following season (2016-17) he played for the Austin Spurs, a D-League team owned by the San Antonio Spurs. He finished the season with the Orlando Magic, making his NBA debut.

After the American adventure, the ‘Duck’, the nickname by which he is known, made the jump to the European continent, where he has played for Baskonia (20017-20), the Lithuanian Zalgiris Kaunas (2020-21) and in the French Nanterre (2021-22). He has experience in the ACB (64 games) and the Euroleague (55).

Patricio Garino is the second signing of Basketball Girona for the 2022-23 season after that of ‘Quino’ Colom.
