From  of CEB Marc Gasol has been working so that the club can count on a senior team with the aim of this being a reference for the players who are part of the lower categories of the entity and a possible option of continuity for some at the end the junior stage. The Club has done everything possible for this step to become a reality, making the relevant requests for places to the corresponding federations.

However, taking into account the deadlines established by the Federation for the definitive preparation of the groups that will make up the different leagues, CEB Marc Gasol considers that the most convenient thing at the moment is to postpone the creation of a first team next season. So all efforts will be focused on making it a reality as soon as possible.

The Club would like to thank the respective federations for this step. This decision meets one of the commitments of this Club, to contribute  value with a new project, different from the existing ones.

For this reason, CEB Marc Gasol will continue to work with the aim of the players’ growth in the sporting, academic and human aspects, through the values ​​of respect, effort and commitment. Short but firm steps will lead to Girona having a new senior team in the near future.
