'Quino' Colom signs for Basketball Girona

The Andorran point guard has a remarkable career in state and European basketball and comes from AEK Athens in Greece

Joaquim ‘Quino’ Colom Barrufet (Andorra La Vella, 1988) is a new player for Basketball Girona for the 2022-23 season. The Andorran point guard (188 cm.) has experience in the ACB and the Euroleague and is an international player with the Spanish national basketball team.

Formed in the lower categories of Básquet Club Andorra and Lleida Básquet, Colom would make his debut in the EM El Olivar in the EBA category (2006-07) before making the jump to LEB Or: CB Hospitalet (2007-08) and Lleida Bàsquet (2008-09), team linked to CAI Saragossa of ACB, where he would make his debut in the top category.

With 249 matches in the Endesa League, the Andorran player has worn the shirt of Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (2009-13), CB Estudiantes (2013-14), Bilbao Basket (2014-15), Valencia Basket (2019-20) and the CD Baskonia (2020-21).

Colom also has European experience at Russian UNICS Kazan (2015-18), Turkish Bahçesehir Basketbol (2018-19), Serbian Red Star (2020-21) and Greek AEK Athens (2021-22). He has experience in the Euroleague, the Eurocup and the Basketball Champions League.

Quino Colom has been international with the Spanish national basketball team since 2015, with whom he won the Basketball World Cup in China in 2019.
