Rehagirona and Básquet Girona give notoriety to wheelchair basketball

The club's wheelchair team and the ACB team played a wheelchair basketball normalization game

El Rehagirona – Básquet Girona, the club’s wheelchair team, and ACB team players Quino Colom, Máximo Fjellerup, Pierre Oriola, Kameron Taylor and Ondra Hanzlik played a wheelchair basketball game to raise awareness a different way of experiencing sport and normalizing the situation experienced by people in wheelchairs.

The action is part of the collaboration agreement between Rehagirona and Básquet Girona, which began last season, which changed the name of the wheelchair team to Rehagirona – Básquet Girona.

Rehagirona is a company that offers  comprehensive solutions of high quality for active mobility. She is involved in the renovation and improvement of the wheelchair equipment of the Rehagirona – Básquet Girona team, as well as the situation of the members of the team through clinical evaluations and technical advice.

 

Jordi Gispert, manager of Rehagirona: “We are very grateful to the players of the team in wheelchairs and to those of the ACB, as well as to the Girona Basketball club, for coming to play this match and contribute to promote and normalize wheelchair basketball”.

Ondraj Hanzlik, ACB player of Básquet Girona: “I think it’s very good that this way of playing basketball is supported. I think it is very important to do actions of this type and normalize a sport that is present in many cities.”
