Sergi, Martinas and Derek captain the first team

The captains of the first team of Bàsquet Girona are now official

The captains of the Bàsquet Girona men’s first team for the 2025/26 season have been confirmed. Sergi Martínez, Martinas Geben and Derek Needham have been chosen, in that order, in a vote carried out by the locker room and the technical staff.

Sergi Martínez will continue as first captain in what will be his third season at the club. Martinas Geben and Derek Needham are the new additions to the captains’ group for this new season.

Martinas Geben, in his second year with the team, joins the established captains’ group as one of the most respected voices in the dressing room. Finally, Derek Needham, recently arrived in Girona, has quickly earned the trust of his teammates and staff to complete the trident of captains.
