Spar Girona has added a new victory in Fontajau in a match dominated from start to finish against Estepona (88-62), imposing a high, vertical and constant rhythm that has allowed them to control the duel from the first quarter. The success of the outside, the defensive intensity and the collective play have marked the development of a confrontation that the Girona team has been able to manage with solvency throughout the forty minutes.

The first quarter was full of names, in which Justė Jocytė (10 points) shone for Spar Girona and Clàudia Contell (7 points) for the visitors. That said, the Lithuanian’s outside shot slightly set Spar ahead in the quarter (16-10). Bibby then added a three (7 points) and the intense pressure from the Girona team suffocated the Andalusians (25-10). Despite the visitors’ timeout, Klara’s transition and Carol’s triple ended the quarter with an 18-point lead (30-12).

In the second half, the Girona team maintained the high offensive rhythm thanks, in part, to the team’s success from the three-point line, highlighting Carter’s three triples and Bibby’s two (13 points), increasing the lead on the scoreboard (56-28).

The passage through the locker rooms has not stopped the Girona machinery, which with the same direct and vertical style has maintained the rhythm on both sides of the court, highlighting Jocytė’s success and the final points of Lola and Carol (78-42).

With a difference in the score, Anna Badosa and Berta Ribas enjoyed minutes in the last quarter. Badosa, with three minutes left, opened with a triple (88-54) and Spar Girona ended up winning over Fontajau by 88 to 62.
