Coincidentally, the Girona Básquet senior closed the season on the same track where he played his first official match, on September 3rd in the preliminary phase of the EBA Catalan League. With nothing at stake – no matter what happens, Quim Costa’s team will finish third in the CA group of the EBA League, now with a 17-8 record -, the team will visit the court of CB Quart Germans Cruz (7 p.m.), with the idea of ending with a victory and good feelings.

A great atmosphere is expected in the Girona derby of the group, as in the first round. Then, almost a thousand people witnessed Girona’s victory in Fontajau. The match has great significance for the rival, who needs victory to avoid the play-off. During the course, however, he has been very irregular on his court and only has a 3-9 record, with victories over Aracena AEC Collblanc, BBA Castelldefels and Club Básquet Roser. However, it has a squad with a lot of knowledge of the competition, in which Èric Jiménez (13.2 points) and Pau Vila (10.6 points and 3.2 assists on average) stand out.
