The match started very evenly, with three three-pointers from the Girona team giving them the lead. The following minutes of the match became a one-on-one duel, with Bàsquet Girona’s success in the outer zone and their penetration of the basket allowing them to take the lead (28-20). The start of the second quarter was frenetic, with both teams making good shots, with Fontajau providing the atmosphere the home team needed. However, the Girona team finished the quarter with a seven-point lead (51-44).

A bad start to the third quarter by Bàsquet Girona allowed the visitors to reduce the difference in the score. The home team paid for individual errors and Barça achieved a partial of (5-13). The Blaugrana club was more successful in the final minutes of the third quarter, in which they achieved a six-point advantage (64-71).

The fans were unbeatable, not losing hope in the team. All the players wanted the lead in the match, making it possible to reduce the difference in the score in the first three minutes of the match. With 30 seconds left in the match, Bàsquet Girona took the lead. The last two points with two seconds left from the Girona team’s MVP Ike Iroegbu gave the home team the victory (91-90).
